About National Health Accesssm (NHAsm)
National Health Access has been created by a coalition of the nation’s leading employers to help people who are not eligible for traditional employer sponsored benefits find access to affordable and comprehensive coverage. NHA includes benefit coverage options for health care and life insurance needs, and is offered to workers and their dependents through employers who are members of the HR Policy Association.
Benefits Available Through NHA
NHA offers workers and their dependents access to an array of comprehensive and competitively priced benefit offerings, including individual and family major medical coverage, short term medical coverage, dental, international and travel medical insurance, and life insurance.
Who is Eligible
Individuals affiliated with employers who are offering NHA are eligible to enroll in benefit coverage options, including employees who are not eligible for traditional employer sponsored benefits, dependents, former employees, individuals who have exhausted their COBRA coverage, independent contractors, and individuals affiliated with businesses who are suppliers to HR Policy Association member employers.
Individual Insurance Policies
All NHA coverage options are offered through individual insurance policies, meaning that the policies are portable and individuals may retain those policies even if their employment status changes.
Kelsey National Corporation
NHA is administered by Kelsey National Corporation, which is responsible for helping individuals enroll in NHA benefit coverage options. Kelsey is also responsible for arranging a broad array of insurance carriers who offer competitively priced coverage options through NHA. Kelsey maintains a call center and NHA web site to help individuals find coverage. Kelsey National Corporation has been offering benefit programs like NHA to employers and individuals since 1964.
